Our local United Way is having a food drive to help children and families in our area who don’t have enough to eat. It may be hard to believe, but school teachers note that many children come to school without sufficient nourishment. We can help solve this problem. Sept. 1-13, we will have a collection point for non-perishable food items as you enter Cowan Dining. There are also copies of the list of needed foods for you to take with you to the grocery store. The donated items will go to schools and food banks. If each of us donates just a few of these food items, we can make a major difference.
