Sundays. Get Centred. A contemplative Christian worship service in the candlelit sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church every Sunday night. Thursday, Sept. 27. Pizza and Politics. Faculty from the Government and International Studies programs are sponsoring a series of informal panel discussions on the 2012 presidential election. The next will focus on domestic policy issues (taxes, healthcare, etc.) in the Romney and Obama campaigns. Come with your questions! Pizza available on a first-come-first-serve basis! Volunteer Opportunities
Join the Debates! 200 Centre students are needed to serve as facilitators for online video discussions with high school students following each Presidential Debate. Students will be trained to facilitate discussions via Google Hangouts with up to 10 high school students from around the world, processing the content of each Debate and the issues covered in each debate. Family Weekend, Sept. 28-29. We need several students to serve as hosts for our Saturday morning presentations, ticket takers at the President’s Brunch and as general helpers/greeters during Family Weekend. Dress Code for volunteers in area classrooms. Dress professionally in khakis or dress pants (no denim, no shorts, no short skirts) and in a button down or collared blouse or shirt (no transparent clothing, no revealed undergarments, no spaghetti straps or muscle tops). Appropriate footwear for the classroom includes sneakers, dress shoes or sandals, NOT flip flops. Lost/Found: If you lost a pink water bottle with a gray top over the last few weeks, we have it in the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar’s Office is located in Wiseman Hall, Room 106. We are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please stop in and pick it up at your convenience.
