How to Submit to Notesworthy
Notesworthy is posted on a private (although not secured) Web site. Notesworthy will not be posted when vacation schedules, exams, etc. result in an insufficient number of announcements.
Notesworthy’s purpose is to consolidate in one location information intended for campus-wide distribution. We encourage your use and readership of Notesworthy for that purpose.
Notesworthy is edited and posted online by the Office of Communication (2nd floor, Breeze House). Please send your announcements via e-mail to marykay.jones@centre.edu. All submissions must be received no later than noon on Monday. Anything received after that time cannot be published in that week’s Notesworthy.
1. Submissions should be kept to one paragraph, and include the submitter’s name and phone number. Be sure to include date, time and place of an event.
2. Submissions should be sent as they are to appear. The Office of Communications reserves the right to edit submissions for space and clarity. It would be most helpful to put the date first, then the event, and follow that up with the information including time and place.
3. Submissions for Faculty/Staff News will be run on a space available basis and in the order of submission.
4. Submissions will ordinarily run once only. Exceptions include the subscription series, convocations, and College tests.
5. Only informational notices that pertain directly to the College community will be accepted.
Notesworthy includes official announcements of the College as they are submitted. The announcements must originate and be cleared through one of the following offices: the office of the president, vice presidents or deans.
Students are responsible for reading all official administrative announcements which are posted online in Notesworthy in order to be aware of important College dates, policies, etc.
