An “amazing experience”

Senior Lauren Crosby takes part in a funeral celebration in Foumban, Cameroon. Crosby and other Centre students were studying abroad in Cameroon and attended the celebration held for a deceased soldier. All the men who attended the funeral dressed in military attire, Crosby explained. “They were really quite scary looking at first sight, but once we began talking they were very cordial,” Crosby says. Following the ceremony there was a dance and feast. “It was just one of the amazing experiences of the trip,” she says.
