    Exploring Costa Rica

Centre-in-Mexico students explored the rich biodiversity of nearby Costa Rica during a trip that included cloud forests and active volcanoes (Volcan Arenal is pictured behind them). The trip was a homecoming of sorts for their Centre professor, Genny Ballard, who spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica after graduating from Centre. The group spent four days in Colorado, her Peace Corps village, after which she wrote, “My students loved the food and the place, and the people loved them.”
