Students in a CentreTerm freshman seminar, The Song and the Singer, had a chance to talk with internationally acclaimed baritone Thomas Hampson before his performance at Centre’s Norton Center for the Arts. Hampson spent almost two hours chatting with the class on topics that ranged from politics to opera to his favorite* among the 11 languages in which he’s sung.

*His favorite language is Russian. The most difficult, he adds, is Polish.
