On January 7, Centre-in-Japan students (from left to right) Whitney Weigel '08, Laura French '09 and Than Culter '08 attended Seijinshiki, the Coming of Age ceremony that welcomes into adulthood all men and women who turned twenty in the past year. Because Japanese women traditionally wear formal kimonos called "furisode," Whitney and Laura got dressed up for the occasion. The photo was taken outside the Rurikoji temple in Yamaguchi.
