Class explores Emily Dickinson's old stomping grounds Centre professor of English Daniel Manheim recently took his senior seminar class on a pilgrimage to Emily Dickinson's home and surrounding areas of New England. They visited Monson, Amherst, Concord, Boston and Salem, touring the homes of Dickinson and Ralph Waldo Emerson and visiting Walden Pond. This photo was taken in Concord on the field where the first shots of the American Revolution rang out. Photo submitted by Claire Hagedorn '08 |
