Carnivale Characters

Bryan Fioret '08, a biochemistry and molecular biology major at Centre, is currently doing a three-month independent study abroad in Florence, Italy. Last week he traveled to Venice for the celebration of Carnivale, an Italian-Catholic tradition of celebrating for four days before the start of Lent. Thousands of people travel to the city to celebrate, and many of them wear elaborate and beautiful costumes.
