Reaching new heights This summer Michael Henry '09 accomplished a feat many people only dream of: scaling part of the 4,000-mile long Great Wall of China in Beijing. While there, Michael met up with Qianyu Yang '09, who is from the Sichuan province of China. They spent three days in Beijing scaling the Great Wall, visiting Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Prince Gong's Palace (Prince Gong was the affluent brother of the last emperor of China who loved to show off his wealth), and the Summer Palace. They also ate at restaurants all over the city, tasting the food of various provinces of China. Photo submitted by Michael Henry '09 |
