Over spring break, a group of Centre students went to Coco Beach in Cape Canaveral, Fla. The location was chosen so that the group could visit with Janay Thomas's uncle, Jones Thomas, a flight conductor at NASA's launch site on the cape. They were given a personal tour by Jones and got to take part in the pre-launch celebration at NASA's Sand Bar club before watching Tuesday morning's rocket launch from the beach.
