Just a little kiss...
This summer, Amanda Glueck ‘10 worked with dolphins at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) on Roatan Island of Honduras. During this time, she learned the basics behind animal research with an emphasis on dolphin studies. In addition, she was able to observe and perform basic husbandry behaviors and performance behaviors such as the high jump. She also got to snorkel with the dolphins, which was her favorite part because she was able to observe the dolphins interacting with each other and humans, in addition to getting to play fetch with them with sea grass. In this photo, Anthony, a five-year-old dolphin, gives Amanda kiss.
