Photo of the Week
Polar Bear Plunge in Switzerland
This summer, Liz Bressler ’12, Alex Sterba ’12, Colleen Maggard ’12, Jeff Mullaney ’12, Zeric Mason ’12, Alex Lloyd ’11, and Skyler Shasky ’12 took a dip in the ice-cold water of Lake Brienz in Interlaken, Switzerland. “The water in the lake comes straight from snow that melts off the top of the Alps mountains and glaciers surrounding the city,” Maggard says. The group, part of this summer’s study abroad program in Strasbourg, France, took a weekend off to visit Interlaken, where they enjoyed canyoning through the Saxeten and Grimsel river canyons, paragliding off the Alps and exploring the treetops of the forest via rope-climbing and ziplining.Photo submitted by Colleen Maggard ’12
