Photo of the Week
A Costa Rican Embrace
Centre College education professor Dr. Sarah Murray recently spent three weeks immersed in the Costa Rican culture. Her first week was spent taking a Spanish class in northern Costa Rica, which was followed by two weeks in the south near the Panama border. During her time in Costa Rica, she lived with a Costa Rican family and observed in the local schools to become more acclimated to both the education system and culture. Further relationships were developed to provide Centre students with the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica during either a CentreTerm class or for an internship in the schools. Murray spent time in four K-6 schools, two 7-12 schools and two private universities.Photo submitted by Sarah Murray
