Photo of the Week
Alex Hurley ’14 aboard Oregon II, a research vessel operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Hurley participated in the second leg of the NOAA Summer Shrimp/Groundfish survey, which is a two week cruise that spans the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico from Galveston, Texas, to Tampa, Fla.
Hurley says, "This survey focused on specific species of shrimp and fish, but I was collecting data on jellyfish for my research internship at the University of Southern Mississippi with Dr. Monty Graham."
