Centre, Lincoln and Leadership: Part 5
In November 2010, Centre College announced that it would highlight its relationship to Abraham Lincoln in an exceptionally artful way: with a larger-than-life bronze statue of the president created by famed sculptor Ed Hamilton. An anonymous donor is making the project possible—one that Centre President John Roush has long hoped for.
President Roush has devoted much of his life to the study of Lincoln’s life, and in a multi-part video series, “Centre, Lincoln and Leadership,” he’s eager for viewers to share in his explorations. In this final chapter of the series, President Roush wraps up his discussion of Lincoln’s leadership qualities and discusses how he hopes that everyone who passes this statue will be inspired.
