Kathy Jones, RN

A native of Lincoln County, Kathy joined Parsons Student Health Center in August 2004 as the Registered Nurse. She assumed the role of Director in the fall of 2008. She has a B.S. in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. After losing a friend to AIDS, she gained an appreciation for a skilled and compassionate nurse and chose to make a career change. After earning an Associate degree in Nursing from Midway College in 2000, she worked at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center as an RN in the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Room.



Amanda Goodwin

Amanda, a Danville native, joined Centre College in August 2008. She attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina where she earned her BA in psychology and a minor in French. She then received her MA as a physician assistant from the University of Kentucky. Amanda comes to us from Kentucky Clinic in Adolescent Medicine where she has been for the previous two years. She also worked in several emergency rooms as a physician assistant.



Marsha Edelen

Marsha, a native of Springfield, Kentucky, came to Centre College March 12, 1988. Before working at Center she worked at Perryville Elementary School as an instructional assistant in the Preschool program. Marsha remains very involved with the school activities of her children and serves on the schools Team Counsel.



Kathy Miles

Kathy joined Centre College in September 2005, after more than 30 years experience working in a variety of settings in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. She attended Centre and has a Master's degree in Ed. Psych. and Counseling from the University of Kentucky, with further graduate study in Family Therapy at U.K. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor.



Deborah Goad

Deborah joined Centre in August 2012. She most recently worked with Life Services Employee Assistance Program serving Ephraim McDowell Hospital employees, along with a private counseling practice in Fayette County. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she has worked in mental health and substance abuse since 1986 and has extensive expereince working with college students. Deborah earned a BS in Psych, MS in Rehabilitation Counseling, and MA in Family Studies all from the University of Kentucky.



Brian Ellis, MD

• Attending Physician

Dr. Ellis was raised in Benton, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Marshall County High School and a 1986 graduate of Centre College. He attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Atlanta, graduating in 1990. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia-Chief Resident in 1993. Dr. Ellis then moved to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians. Dr. Ellis is also the team physician for Centre Athletics.



Jonathan Clark, MD

• Attending Physician

Dr. Clark is a Danville, Kentucky, native and a 1993 graduate of Georgetown College. He attended medical school at the Universtiy of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating in 1997. He completed his Internship/Residency at Spartenburg Regional Medical Center, Spartenburg, South Carolina, in 2000. Dr. Clark then returned to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians.
