Randy Hays

Randy was promoted to the position of Vice President and Dean of Student Life in 2000 after serving since 1993 as Director of Residence Life and Counseling and Associate Dean of Student Life. As Vice President and Dean of Student Life, Randy continues to have an “open door” policy, which invites all students to call upon him for advice or direction here at Centre College. His philosophy for the Student Life Office is that each student deserves to have the best “outside the classroom” experience along with the best education while at Centre College. Randy earned a bachelor's degree from Berea College and a master's in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kentucky.



Anita Bertram

Anita, a Danville native, joined the Student Life staff in 2001. She comes to Centre from a local manufacturing facility where she was a Human Resources Assistant for 16 years. One of her major responsibilities in the Student Life Office is the publication of the student handbook which is given to each student. She also publishes the yearly Centre College Directory.


Ann Young

Director of Student Life and Housing

A thirty-year veteran of the Student Life staff, Ann, a Danville native, has worked in student activities, housing, and volunteer service during her tenure at Centre. She has a bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. Ann coordinates all the housing of students on campus in the residence halls and special housing.


Sarah Scott Hall

Sarah re-joined the Student Life Staff in 2001. She comes to Centre from Georgetown College where she was the Director of Counseling and Health Services for four years. She is a Centre graduate and worked here as co-director of Greek Life and Student Activities in 1993-1994. She received her master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 1997 from the University of Kentucky. Sarah works directly with a staff of 70 Residence Directors and Resident Assistants.


Patrick Noltemeyer

Associate Dean and Director of Community Service and Bonner Program

Patrick joined the Student Life staff in 2003 to advise the College's nine inter/national fraternities and sororities. In Spring of 2005 Patrick accepted his current position as Director of Community Service and Bonner Program Coordinator. Patrick is a 2001 graduate of Centre College and completed his master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Kentucky. Prior to returning to Centre, Patrick served as a graduate assistant to Greek Life at Georgetown College, a hall director at the University of Kentucky and as the Director of Scholars for the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program.


Kendrick Durham

Kendrick joined the Student Life staff in August of 2011. He oversees the Student Activities Council, Student Government Association, and numerous registered student clubs and organizations. Kendrick also supervises the Campus Center student staff along with coordinating the Campus Center facility. Kendrick earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bellarmine University in Louisville and his master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. Kendrick is originally from Liberty, KY.


Melissa Clarke Beckett

Melissa joined the Student Life staff in July of 2007 to advise the eight inter/national fraternities and sororities and to oversee New Student Orientation. Her duties include coordinating educational and leadership programming for the fraternity/sorority community; advising the executive boards of the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council and Order of Omega as well as helping to plan and implement new student orientation. Melissa is originally from Toledo, Ohio; graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and completed her master's degree in College Student Personnel at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Prior to working at Centre, Melissa served as an Admissions Counselor at Lourdes College and as the Graduate Assistant for Fraternity/Sorority Life and Leadership at the University of Dayton.


Jacob Raderer

Jacob re-joined the Student Life staff in July of 2012 having previously been in the position of Area Coordinator in 2009-2010. Originally from Louisville, KY, Jacob graduated from Centre in 2009 and completed his master's degree in College Student Personnel at Bowling Green State University where he served as a Graduate Hall Director. Jacob assists the Director of Residence Life in the recruitment, training, and supervision of the RA staff and in the development of the programming initiatives that occur in the residence halls.


Kara Beer

Community Service Coordinator

Kara, a 2012 graduate of Centre College, was hired as the Community Service Coordinator in July 2012. Her duties include helping students connect with service opportunities in the Danville Community and acting as a liaison between the Centre Bonner Scholars program and the national Foundation. While at Centre, Kara studied Anthropology and Sociology and was an active leader on campus, serving as president of her sorority Alpha Delta Pi, and she was named a John C. Young Scholar. Kara is originally from Louisville, KY.


Lindsey Clark

Lindsey, a 2011 graduate of Centre College began her position as Student Life Coordinator in July 2011. Her duties include managing campus center resources and staff, leadership development, co-advising SGA, Greek house managers, fraternity risk management, and Greek week. As a Centre student, Lindsey served as the Student Activities Council President and SGA Vice President of Programming for two years. She was a member of the Centre Singers choral ensemble, swim team, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and received the James D. Jobson Memorial Prize for her work with Student Government. Lindsey is originally from Seymour, TN.


Sara Muren

Sara, a 2012 graduate of Centre College, joined the Student Life staff in August of 2012. Her duties include assisting with new student orientation, co-advising the Student Activities Council, coordinating Student Life leadership workshops, and assisting with fraternity and sorority recruitment. As a Centre student, Sara studied history, served as the Student Activities Council President,and SGA Vice President of Programming. She was a member of the RA Staff, Vice President of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and recipient of the Student Life Leadership award. Sara is originally from Goodlettsville, TN.


Jane Goatley

Area Coordinator and Shuttle Coordinator

Jane, a 2012 graduate of Centre College was hired as Area Coordinator and Shuttle Coordinator in August 2012. Jane assists the Assistant and Director of Residence Life in training, community development, RA supervision, crisis management, and providing support and direction to the Residence Life staff. Jane also coordinates the campus shuttle program, and is the Residence Director of Breckinridge Hall. While at Centre, Jane studied mathematics and spanish. She was a member of the Residence Life staff for three years, the Centre Women's basketball team, and a member of the Student Judiciary. Jane is originally from Springfield, KY.
