Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships
Background
Paul and Daisy Soros, Hungarian immigrants and American philanthropists, established the Soros Fellowships for New Americans in 1997. Thirty Fellowships will be awarded each year. The Fellowships are grants for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. The program defines “New American” as “ an individual who (1) is a resident alien, i.e., holds a Green Card; or, (2) has been naturalized as a US citizen, or (3) is the child of a US naturalized parent (other parent cannot be US born).”
Requirements
Interested students must submit applications before November 1 of their senior year. Selected applicants will then attend interview sessions the following January, and winners will be announced in February.
