Centre Environmental Issues Forum
Centre College hosted the Centre Environmental Issues Forum and Reception on September 25, 2012. In order to influence the political process, from local elections to the 2012 Vice Presidential Debate that Centre hosted, the Forum brought together four of Kentucky’s most accomplished environmental experts to discuss questions of climate change, ecological impacts, and future energy choices for our region and for the nation as a whole. The featured speakers were: Dr. Keith Mountain, Professor of Geography and Geophysics at the University of Louisville; Terry Cook, Director of The Nature Conservancy of Kentucky; Justin Maxson, President of Mountain Association for Community and Economic Development; and Tom FitzGerald, Director of the Kentucky Resources Council.
