Robert Colter joined the Centre College faculty in 2003 as assistant professor of philosophy. He has previously taught at Michigan State University and Northwestern Universitys School of Continuing Studies.
Colters research focuses on ancient philosophy and contemporary analytic metaphysics and epistemology. He is currently working on research on Plato and his theory of knowledge. He also teaches and has interests in the areas of Logic, History of Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, and Ethics.
Colter holds a B.A from the University of Puget Sound, an M.A. from the University of Colorado, and has his Ph.D. from Northwestern University.
