Andrei I. Maximenko is a visiting assistant professor of international studies. He holds a B.A. degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Maximenko has conducted research concerning such subjects as global governance and sustainable development. He speaks Russian, English, and French.

Maximenko has taught at Benedict College, the University of South Carolina, and Emory University.
