Mary Rudd joined Centre's faculty in 2008 as visiting instructor of education.
Before coming to Centre, Rudd spent 21 years in public education as a teacher, assistant principal curriculum director, and was most recently a Highly Skilled Educator with the Kentucky Department of Education. Rudd has served as a consultant with school districts on topics related to balanced assessment, reading instruction in all content areas, and increasing expectations for student achievement. She has been involved in local efforts to develop teacher leadership roles in grades K-12.
She graduated from Centre College with a B.A. in English. She earned her M.A. in Secondary Education from Georgetown College, and received Instructional Leadership, Supervisor of Instruction, and Superintendent certifications from the University of Kentucky.
