Nuria Sabate-Llobera joined Centre's faculty in 2007, and became assistant professor of Spanish in 2008.
Sabaté's interests include 20th century Latin American literature with a focus on the Caribbean area and transatlantic studies.
She has a B.A. in Spanish philology and romance languages from the Universitat de Lleida in Spain. She also received an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature from the University of Kentucky.
