Centre students have a remarkable record of winning the world's most prestigious post-graduate (Rhodes, Fulbright) and undergraduate (Goldwater, Truman) scholarships. On this page are links to brief descriptions of some of the top awards and the steps necessary for students wishing to apply.

Please note, most scholarship applications are due early in the fall term. Rotary Scholarship applications are due in March.

Rhodes Scholarship campus interviews are held in the spring of the junior year.

English-Speaking Union Scholarship (summer study in Britain; apply as junior)

Fulbright Scholarship (one year of post-graduate study or teaching English throughout the world; apply as a senior)

Gates Cambridge Scholarship (one or more years graduate study at the University of Cambridge in England; apply as a senior)

Goldwater Scholarship (undergraduate award for students in math, science, or engineering; apply as a sophomore or junior)

Madison Graduate Fellowship (two years of graduate study in the United States leading to a career in secondary school teaching of American history, government, or social studies; apply as a senior)

Marshall Scholarship (two-three years graduate study at any British university; apply as a senior)

Mitchell Scholarship (one year post-graduate study at any university in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland; apply as a senior)

Rhodes Scholarship (two-three years graduate study at the University of Oxford in England; apply as a senior, but please note, the campus interviews are held in the spring of the junior year)

Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship (one year post-graduate study at major universities around the world; apply as a junior or senior, but since the scholarship begins more than a year after selection, it is best to apply as a junior)

Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose (an unrestricted cash grant of up to $40,000 for a project that will "strengthen civil society"; apply as a senior)

Truman Scholarship (undergraduate award for students planning careers in government or public service; apply as a junior)

Udall Scholarship (undergraduate award for students interested in the environment; apply as a sophomore or junior)
