Guests of Honor
This week we were happy to welcome an esteemed delegation of 28 Centre College alumni, led on their visit by the incomparable Dr. Milton Reigelman (director of Centres international programs) and accompanied by Centre College President John Roush. In a highly exclusive ceremony absolutely no photography allowed, of course several students hosted President Roush for high tea. Reports are sketchy, but it appears that the flat was scrubbed down in the nick of time and that protocol was observed throughout.
Our entire student group joined the alumni Thursday evening for dinner at the historic Albert Pubs upstairs restaurant, where a bell remains installed to alert dining MPs of an upcoming vote in the Commons. We saw no legislators on this evening, probably because our party essentially overran the place with our numbers. Thats what a reservation made several months in advance can do for you, I suppose.

We students certainly enjoyed our conversations with the alums and the excellently priced (read: free) meal. But the festivities were abruptly ended as our visitors were whisked off to see Chicago, one of the 11 or 12 plays they were scheduled to see on their six-day trip (perhaps a bit of exaggeration here). They had the right idea: if youre looking to make the most of your time here, you just cant stop.
