The End is Nigh

Our time here is almost at an end, and I can think of at least two reasons why that’s not a good thing.  The first you won’t be surprised to hear: London, after all, is London.  While some of us might claim to be veterans of the city’s experiences, we’ve actually gotten only a taste of what London – and more generally, of what life abroad – has to offer.  And I, for one, am not ready to call it quits.  In fact, for some time now I’ve had my eye on a couple other study-abroad trips that Centre has scheduled for next winter.

The second reason is painful even to contemplate here, but I’ll persist.  “Study-abroad” trips, of their nature, normally involve both being abroad and studying.  And I enjoy both and am here for both.  But whatever one’s particular circumstances, the end of the term, which is now upon us, tends to be a challenging time.  Tests, papers, and projects have a way of converging on the same dates, and sometimes it all makes for a tough mountain to climb.
