It rarely dips below 40 degrees here in February, but sometimes mornings can be quite chilly. On a parenthetical note, it has taken some adjustment to get used to gauging temperatures in the Celsius scale. If only America could adopt the metric system. Anyway, my shopping endeavors were in vain, nevertheless, because I could find nothing to really float the ol' boat. Oxford Street is a spectacle, however.

The most enjoyable thing I've done so far in London , aside from the running, was going to an amateur comedy club with some of my fellow Centre students. It took place on the second level of a pub of off Oxford Street. Some of the comedy was really good. Some was really extraordinarily, horribly bad. But the experience was amazing because it occurred in such close quarters. The performers did their routines in front of about 20-30 people in a medium sized room, about the size of an average classroom perhaps, really not even requiring the need for a microphone. It broke about halfway through the performance, in fact. But, there were about eight comics with a wide range of material and it made for a good night out.
