Anyway, I had to document this experience because no one would believe me if I just told them. I approahed Gebreselassie, my mind and my heart racing a mile-a-minute. I nervously asked him if I could have my picture taken with him and he was more than happy to oblige. I was kind of taken aback by how nice he was about it. I’ll definitely be cheering for him in the London Marathon now, which is on April 24.

 

The next day, I ended up going for an easy run with Mark Carroll, who is one of the best runners to ever come out of Ireland. I don’t know if this trip can get any better.
