Time is winding down and I only have three more weeks in London. It is crunch time as far as my classes are concerned. I haven't much discussed my classes too much in the journal thus far, which is neglect on my part because they are obviously a large part of the study-abroad experience. They've been a little more rigorous than I imagined as far as the workload is concerned, but that is mainly my fault because I have not spaced the work out over the whole term as I should have done. There is simply too much to do in London and that situation leads to procrastination for sure. Also the economics focus of this year's program haven't exactly played to my strengths, but I shouldn't make excuses. I am having a blast.
My humanities class focuses on the contributions of the British in the areas of the railroad and photography. This week, I have to give a presentation on the London neighborhood of Kensington in the style of a photoessay. I have chosen to focus on the two large parks in the neighborhood, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. I figure I'm likely the most familiar with them since I run there 3 to 5 times a week. |

I took some spectacular photographs of the green grass, the magnificent trees, the blue sky reflecting off of the Serpentine (the lake in the middle of the two parks) and the gorgeous gardens. I just can't seem to get enough of the parks here.
