The Guinness tour was also great. We were given a tour of what used to be an old fermentation plant, but now serves as a museum that tells the history of Arthur Guinness and his fermented beverage. I was impressed at how big the industry was. Guinness has plants in several other countries and has bought out various other companies. The Guinness family was also very involved in the Dublin community, having undertaken to fund several community-service projects. Our quote of the day came from our guide John and exemplifies the Irish idea of time. We were going to be late getting to the storehouse and John said, "Don't worry about the 3 o'clock. When God made time, he made plenty of it."
