| January 15, 2004 - page 2 opened up and turned blue and the sun came out. It was almost like there was divine intervention on our behalf. It was breathtaking to see the spray of the ocean coming up over the rocks. We traveled from the cliffs to Bunratty Castle. This was a highlight for me because I had always wanted to see inside a castle. I loved how the castle was open to exploration. You could go from the bottom of the dungeon to the top of the towers. The great room with its high ceiling was the most impressive to me (and that's how it was constructed to be). Finally we arrived in Kilarney. I decided to try something new and Irish for dinner, beef and Guinness casserole. It looked like beef stew, smelled like beer, and tasted wonderful. It was an excellent choice. | | |
