Late Nights
It’s currently 4:03 AM, and I am at school in my office. Why?
Answer, it is finals week. I’m actually taking a break from
my work to write this journal. This entire week I’ve been
here in my office until the wee hours of the morning working on
my final papers and presentations. My finals week routine involves
coming to school at 9:00 AM by car, going to class until 6:00 PM,
and going back home by car. From there I hop on my bike and head
back to school arriving at about 7:00 PM. I spend the rest of the
night and early morning hours working on my various assignments.
I usually take a break around 9:30 PM to eat supper at a nearby
restaurant. At about 3:00 I lay down for a nap on a bench in my
office. I wake up at 5:00 AM, jump on my bike, and head back home.
I usually arrive just before 6:00 AM. I eat last night’s supper
as my breakfast and then I take a shower and get ready for school.
Needless to say the schedule is wearing on me, but luckily it will
all be over soon. In the midst of this craziness I’ve still
managed to have some memorable moments this week, one of them is
described below.
Dedication
You know you are dedicated when you break into school to

do your work. Three nights ago, during one of
my all-nighters, I actually had to sneak in to school. Here are
the details on my Mission Impossible-esque act.
I left my fourth floor office on foot at approximately 11:00 PM.
I was headed for the nearby 7-11 store in search of an energy-boosting
snack. After purchasing my snack I headed back to school and arrived
at approximately 11:10 PM.
