July 8 , 2003 - page 3

Well I hope everyone enjoyed the 4th of July festivities, as I was unable to do so. I had planned on having a picnic with fireworks and the whole works, but Mother Nature decided otherwise. The entire 4th of July weekend was filled with thunderstorms. As a result, I spent my weekend inside studying. Yipee! Needless to say, the rainy season is living up to its expectations and then some. In fact, I can’t even remember when the last truly nice day was. The rainy season in combination with my looming finals has recently put a damper on my spirits. Luckily, I have several trips planned for the near future, and they’re helping me get through these

dreary days. Next weekend I’m going to Hiroshima to experience the phenomenon that is Nippon Professional Baseball. After finals are over I have another trip planned; I’m going to the end-all-be-all of Japan, Tokyo. I’m really excited about both of these trips, and I’ll let you know how these trips go. That’s it for today.
