(Incidentally, I’m now the Janken champion of the fourth grade.Feel free to be impressed.) Our last game was a mix of “telephone” and “Pictionary,” to which there seemed to be no clear winner, but was definitely entertaining.

To finish off the day I came home to yet another little kid, 10-month old Ritsu, my host parents’ grandson who, along with their daughter Yuko, has been staying with us for a few days. He’s a cute kid, and I have lots of fun crawling around on the floor with him and trying to dissuade him from chewing on our remarkably patient cat. Tonight was no exception, and it seemed a fitting way to end a remarkably playful day. What a great start to my long weekend!
