"The holidays in the Yucatan"
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Lights are going up, kids are walking around in snowsuits, sappy Christmas commercials are urging me to buy the latest cologne, and its even cold!
Im sure all of you at home just groaned and rolled your eyes. All right, I admit, its not cold (objectively speaking), but its a lot colder (relatively speaking) than it was a few weeks ago. The true test is whether of its cold or not is if I can walk the entire mile and a half from school to my home with my sweater on; lets just say that this last week Ive been living in my sweater.

Its quite funny to see the Yucatecans reactions to this cold weather. My mom makes sure I button up before I venture out into the frigid 75 degree weather; people are walking around in thick cable-knit sweaters and have their children bundled up in parkas. Yes, even all of us Centre students have pulled out the sweaters and jackets. Welcome to winter in the Yucatan!
