Frankfort to visit close friends I'll not see until after Christmas.  Now, the only task that remains is packing.  This has proved to be a much trickier undertaking than originally expected because I only have two large duffle bags to squeeze five months of my life into.  Also, I must be conscious of the style of clothes I pack because while Turkey is a secular nation, its population is predominantly Muslim

which means women wear extremely modest clothing.  I refrained from packing any skirts or shorts above the knee, tank tops, or ostentatious-colored clothing.  I'll already stand out in the crowd because of my height, hair color, skin tone, and Kentucky accent so I don't need to bring additional unnecessary attention to myself because of my wardrobe.
