I’ve never experienced anything like our exploration of ancient Pergamum; climbing up the first hill and seeing white Corinthian columns supporting fragments of a gigantic pediment made my heart soar with excitement. Giddily I stepped over marble stones inching closer and closer to the Temple of Trajan. I was instantly ten years old again with the desire to be like Indiana Jones, a brilliant archeologist who had a knack for adventure and treasure.

impressive as Pergamum because of the amount of intact remains. Walking the streets of once successful Greek cities the tour guide pointed out the shops, public baths, temples, libraries, and theatres. Taking pictures like the paparazzi, I attempted to document every column and fragmented building.
My favorite part of Aphrodisia is the gigantic stadium; it can hold around 30,000 people and most of the architectural feat
