of all animals with beaks and, while I sat next to the fountain waiting for some friends, they snuck up on me! I turned around to find four of them all fluffed up and staring at me. Yikes!

The cathedral was amazing, as many in Europe are. The stained glass windows around every corner were magnificent and cast multi-colored light across the aisles and onto other works of art. This is the third largest cathedral in the world. The altarpiece is gold that reaches almost to the





 







 


 



ceiling and contains over 1,000 figures. There is a silver side altar that rises almost three stories. Columbus is believed to be buried there, though there are three other Spanish churches that currently claim him. There's an early Goya painting that looks nothing like the rest of his work. However, the sheer mass of this cathedral is what sets it apart and knocks you speechless at the entrance.
