How to Plan Your Visit
It's really easy to schedule your visit. Just call our toll-free number (or write) to let us know when you want to come, and we'll do the rest. Here are a few things to keep in mind when you're making your plans:
- Count on being here at least a half dayit's best to arrive in the early morning or early afternoon.
- Dress comfortablyyour interviews will be informal, so you can wear what you normally wear to school.
- You can visit with your parents or alone, but we do, of course, encourage parents to come for the visit.
- Try to give us at least one week's notice for a day visit and two week's notice for an overnight visit so we have time to plan a stay that will reflect your special interests.
What You Can Do
At the very least, a visit usually includes a tour of campus and a meeting with an admission counselor. (It's definitely not a formal interview, so relax!) But if you have the time, you might also:
- Eat lunch in our dining hall
- Attend a class or two. (We'll try to find one that matches your interests.)
- Meet with a faculty member from a specific program, a coach, or a staff contact person for a particular interest (career services, diversity programs, or volunteer and leadership programs, for instance.)
- Spend the night with a student host (Sunday through Thursday).
- Attend a show at the Norton Center for the Arts. (We have a few tickets to some of the events for prospective students.)
