Changing of the Guard The date—Jan. 26, 2008—was a milestone in the history of Centre College. After nearly 22 years as chair of the Centre board—and more than 31 years as a trustee—J. David Grissom ’60 turned over his gavel to the new board chair, Bob Brockman ’63, a 10-year trustee. Randy Kell ’69—a 13-year trustee—stepped up to vice chair, Brockman’s previous post. Though the leadership is changing, the Centre board’s remarkable engagement with the work of the College remains, as does the board’s unusual degree of collegiality.
