More accolades for Centre basketball coach and senior guard
The honors continue for Centre College head men's basketball coach Greg Mason and senior guard Thomas Britt. Mason and Britt were both named to the All-District South Team while Britt also earned All-American Status.
Head Coach Greg Mason was honored as the South's All-District Coach-of-the-Year after leading the Colonels to the nation's longest win streak of 2007-08 with 25 straight victories. The 25 win streak included wins of, then number 18 in the country, Millsaps and 14 straight regular season conference wins; a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) record. Mason was also named the Coach-of-the-Year for the South Region and the SCAC this year.

Senior guard Thomas Britt (Louisville, Kentucky) earned his third post-season award in as many days. Britt was named to the third team All-South Region team on Monday, March 17 and then on Thursday March, 20 he was named to
the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)
All-South District first team and the NABC's
State Farm Division III All-America second team. Britt received these honors after helping the Colonels to a 26-3 overall record and a national ranking as high as number two in the country.
