Men's Basketball continues perfect SCAC season
The Centre College Colonels are now 24-1 overall and 15-0 in the SCAC after winning their first round SCAC Tournament game 67-53 against Austin College played Friday, February 29 in Conway, Arkansas on the campus of Hendrix College.
The stats show a very balanced attack by the colonels, as three players scored double digits. Centre College was lead by sophomore Danny Noll with 14 points, followed by Matt Nestheide who had 11, and T.C. Thomason with 10.
The Colonel defense was stellar as they held the Austin College Kangaroos to only 18 points in the first half and none of their players were able to score double digits.
Centre will look to continue its hot play Saturday, March 1 against Trinity University. The second round SCAC tournament contest will be played on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, AR at 1:00 pm CST. The winner will advance to the championship game on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
