Colonels begin post season play at SCAC Tournament
The Centre College men's basketball team coming off its third straight 20-win season looks to continue its recent SCAC success in the 2009 SCAC Basketball Tournament, beginning on Friday, February 27, in Conway, Ark.
The Colonels finished the regular season 20-4, 12-2 in the SCAC. The Colonels impressive 12-2 SCAC regular season record earned them the top-seed in the SCAC Eastern Division. Centre is scheduled to open the SCAC tournament against Austin College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27. The Colonels defeated Austin, 77-59, at home earlier in the season.
The Centre men's basketball team finished second in the SCAC tournament during the 2008 season, losing to Millsaps in the championship game. The Colonels were SCAC Tournament Champions in the 2007 season.
