Colonels open 2008 season with win
The Centre College men's basketball team opened the 2008 season with a win over Franklin College, 67-65, on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Franklin, Ind.
In a rematch of last years NCAA Tournament first-round game the Colonels again came out on top against Franklin. The Colonels were led by senior T.C. Thomason (Russellville, Ky.) and junior D3hoops.com Pre-Season All-American Danny Noll (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.). Thomason finished the game with a team high 23 points in only 26 mintues of action. Noll was second of the team in scoring finishing with 16 points. Senior guard Ryan Crowdis (Louisville, Ky.) chipped in with 12 points.
The Colonels return to action on the road Tuesday, Nov. 18, against Maryville. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm.
