Junior forward Danny Noll (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.), a member of the Centre College men's basketball team, has been selected as a Fourth Team Pre-Season All-American by D3hoops.com. Noll becomes the first player in Centre basketball history to be selected to a D3hoops.com Pre-Season All-American team.

Noll has been a key member of the past two Colonel teams that have played in the NCAA Div-III National Tournament. Noll started every game during the 2007-2008 season in which the Colonels reached a #2 national ranking. Centre's record with Noll on the team is an impressive 50-7.
During Noll's sophomore year the Colonels went 26-3 and a perfect 14-0 in regular season SCAC play. Noll averaged 12.3 points and 5.1 rebound per game along with starting in all 27 games. As a freshman during the 2006-2007 season, Noll played in all 29 games, averaging 6.3 points and 3 rebounds per game.
Head Coach Greg Mason commented, "This is a great honor for Danny to be recognized by D3 Hoops.com, and very deserving as well. Danny has been a huge part of our success the last two seasons and continues to get better every day."
Coach Mason went on to say, "Danny works as hard as any player we've had in the last 10 years. Great to see others think as highly of Danny as we do."
The Colonels open the 2008-2009 season Saturday, Nov. 15, at Franklin.
