Men's basketball team to be recognized at Saturday's football game
The 2008-09 Centre men's basketball team will be honored during half-time of Centre's football game against Austin College, Saturday, Sept. 26 at Farris Stadium. The team finished the year with a 23-5 record and won their third straight Regular Season Championship.
Among the Colonels' numerous accomplishments were:
- 3rd Straight NCAA Tournament Appearance
- 3rd Straight Season of 23 or more wins
- A national ranking as high as #13
- SCAC regular season champions (3rd in a row and 18th in school history)
- A 4th straight year competing in the SCAC tournament Championship game, where Centre defeated Southwestern 72-67 for the Colonels 2nd title in 3 years.
