Sophomore Goodman honored by SCAC
In exclusive voting by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association (SCAC) head coaches, Centre sophomore Chelsea Goodman (Harrodsburg, Ky.) was selected to the All-SCAC third team for the second consecutive year.
 Goodman had an outstanding year for the Colonels, leading the team in scoring, rebounds, assists, and blocked shots. The sophomore guard ranked 12th in the SCAC in scoring (13.3 points per game), ninth in assists (3.0 per game), and eighth in assist to turnover ratio. Goodman also averaged 6.1 rebounds per game and shot 72.2% from the free-throw line for the year.
Goodman scored in double figures for the Colonels 16 times on the year, including four games with over 20 points, and a season high of 30 points against Rhodes College. Goodman also posted four double-doubles on the year and finished one point shy of her first career triple-double in a win over Spalding. The All-SCAC third team is not the only recognition Goodman received on the year, as she was also named to the Country Hearth Inn/Lee's Famous Recipe Classic All-Tournament Team and the Julie Costello Memorial All-Classic Team.
