Women give valiant effort in overtime loss to Colorado
The Centre College women's basketball team lost their first round game in the SCAC tournament to Colorado College 62-66. The game was played in Conway, Arkansas on Friday February 29 and was hosted by Hendrix College.
Playing in the team's first SCAC Tournament game in over five years the Lady Colonels were not going to bow out without a fight. Leading the charge for the Colonels was senior Monica Vonderbrink who had 17 points, including five from behind the three point arc. Following closely behind Vonderbrink was junior guard Alison Denbow who added 16 points to the cause and sophomore Chelsea Goodman who chipped in 12.
The team ends their season at 7-16 overall and 4-10 in the SCAC. |
