Centre bounce back with impressive 70-55 win over Austin
The Centre College women's basketball team bounced back from last night's loss to Colorado College with an impressive win over visiting Austin College, 70-55, on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Danville, Ky. The Colonels are now 10-6 on the year and are 3-3 in the SCAC.
The first half was a back and forth affair as the lead changed hands eight times. Stovall had 11 points off of 4-4 shooting to lead all Colonels in points at the half.
Austin hit a three-pointer out of the gate in the second half to retake the lead but the Colonels rallied to seize the lead and the game. After the Austin three the Colonels opened up a 8-0 run to take complete control of the game. After taking the lead in the second half the Colonels never looked back in route to their tenth win of the year.
